The dehydration elements under the mesh are arranged in order of dehydration capacity from weak to strong.

① Formed board. The forming plate of the wire section of the fourdrinier paper machine is composed of several strips with narrow gaps between Flat noodles. The function of the forming board is to control the dehydration of the newly formed paper material, and support the mesh between the chest roller and the first table roller (or the first group of cutting boards) to eliminate the phenomenon of pulp jumping and improve the uniformity of the paper page.

② Watermark roller. The watermark roller, also known as the finishing roller, is only used on some paper machines. Many paper machines do not have watermark rollers. The function of watermark rollers is to flatten the surface of the paper and orient the surface fibers, improve the tightness of the paper and promote dehydration. The watermark on anti-counterfeiting paper is formed by the imprinting effect of the watermark roller on the wet paper page when it passes through the watermark roller on the mesh, forming a visible "watermark" on the paper page, making the paper have anti-counterfeiting characteristics.

③ Vacuum roller. The vacuum degree of the vacuum roller is generally higher than that of the vacuum box. Through the vacuum roller, on the one hand, the dryness of the wet paper can be greatly improved, and on the other hand, the tightness and wet strength of the wet paper can be increased, creating conditions for subsequent pressing and dehydration and reducing breakage.
