In order to standardize the design of vertical cylindrical steel welded oil tank, achieve advanced technology,economy rationality,safety and applicablity,and ensure quality,this specification is formulated.This specification is applicable to the design of atmospheric and near atmospheric pressure vertical cylindrical steel welded oil tanks for storage of petroleum,petrochemical products and other similar liquids.It is not applicable to the design of underground tanks with extremely and highly hazardous medium storage toxicity and artificially cooled liquid tanks.In addition to this code,the design of vertical cylindrical steel welded oil tank should also comply with the current national standards.
